You’ll notice a lot of these walks are based around a refreshment spot. Just a little something different from your usual neighbourhood walk. I hope these help to inspire you and maybe even find a new favourite.

  • Bones Wood

    Part of the Chiltern area of outstanding natural beauty, Bones Wood is a large wooded area with many established paths running through it, perfect for dog walkers. A short drive from Wallingford to Binfield Heath and you and your pup will be in for a beautiful woodland walk before finishing up with a coffee and cruffin, or burger at the Bottle & Glass Inn Barn.

  • Castle Meadows

    Wallingford Castle Meadows, a short walk from Wallingford Center, is a picturesque destination for dog walkers. Visitors can view the remains of Wallingford Castle, built in the 11th century, and learn about its history while enjoying a beautiful stroll.

  • Lime Tree Circular Walk

    Walk Type Flat Parking Free Off-Lead Areas Yes Toilets Yes Refreshment Stop Yes About Starting at the Cricket pavillion, Lime Tree Circular Walk takes you down to the Thames, for a short walk by the water, before heading up ferry lane and through Cholsey Meadows. 

  • Nettlebed Creamery

    A short drive from Wallingford to Nettlebed Creamery and you and your pup will be in for a beautiful countryside walk before finishing up with a coffee and cheese toasty with cheese made at the creamery.

  • Thames Loop Wallingford

    Thames Loop Wallingford takes you down to each side of the Thames, crossing the the river twice over Wallingford Bridge and Winterbrook Bridge. If you’re local this could mean a walk right from your front door. With Wallingford Town just off route, there’s plenty of refreshments stops available.

  • Wittenham Clumps

    Wittenham Clumps stand proudly by the Thames, with beautiful 360 degree views over South Oxfordshire’s countryside. Often shared with cows roaming the hills, dogs will need to be kept on a lead, but with incredible views and plenty of green space, you’re sure to have an amazing walk.
